TAJ MAHAL:
Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of world and it is India's most famous monument. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as the mausoleum for his third wife Mumtaz Mahal who died in 1631. The construction of this place took over 16 years from 1631 to 1648.
It is made of white marble and it is built on the bank of Yamuna river. Every year, thousands of people come to watch this place from all over the world.
Red Fort:
The Red fort was also built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan when he shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi in 1638. When India got independence in August 15, 1947, then India's first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru unfurled the indian flag here. Now, on every independence day, Indian Prime Minister hoists the Indian Flag and give speech.
Jallianwala Bagh:
Jallianwala Bagh is near the golden temple in Amritsar. This place has sad history but it is defining moment in India's history and struggle for freedom. On april 13, 1919, brirtish troops opened fire on thousands of people who were celebrating the Baisakhi festival there. This place still have the bullet marks on its walls that reminds the indians for that day.
